Micro-needling is one powerful procedure where your body’s natural healing process is involved. It promotes the formation of collagen and elastin fibres. Increases firmness of the skin. The procedure leaves your skin hydrated and looking radiant. Micro-needling is also known as skin needling, derma pen, derma stamping, derma roller, nano needling, or even collagen induction therapy (CIT). All these are similar needling procedures that are done with different techniques.

Treatment:
- Skin is disinfected
- HA peel is used to make sure, that the skin is fully prepared and no bacteria are left on the surface
- I use a Derma pen with sterile/single-use needles to make micro-injuries
- Depending on the problem a sterile cocktail with ingredients and HA is applied to the skin
- A sterile mask with HA and active ingredients is applied for deeper penetration or LED treatment is performed – that depends on many factors and those can be discussed during the treatment
- Sterile cream with bespoke active ingredients and HA is applied to the skin
The procedure lasts up to 1 hour if no local anaesthetics are applied. I do not recommend anaesthetics for a few reasons. But for some people, this may be required to ease any discomfort.
Frequency of treatments:
Initial results are seen in as little as one treatment. However, there are 3 or 4 treatments recommended every 2-8 weeks apart.

When results are seen?
The micro-needling results can be seen within two weeks of the treatment. But as the body takes time to generate new collagen, it can take between 3 and 9 months for the results to fully appear. Scientific studies show that the result after the correctly done micro-needling procedure is still noticeable after 18 months! This is not one time fix – this procedure has prolonged results.
